Greenwich Man Charged with Sexual Assault after Groping Incident in Local Supermarket

On March 7 at about 6:00pm, Greenwich Police officers responded to Stop & Shop, 116 West Putnam Avenue, on a report of a man having groped a woman. According to the  information police received,the male subject was last seen walking on West Putnam Avenue.

Upon arrival, Greenwich Police  Officers located a male subject, identified as Blaise M Bruno Jr, 32, of 20 Locust Street in Greenwich, within the Chase Bank parking lot at 111 West Putnam Avenue.

Through further investigation, it was determined that Mr. Bruno had groped a female subject within Stop & Shop. Also, according to the police report, “Bruno was observed to get into the female subject’s face.”

Mr.Bruno  was placed under arrest and charged with Sexual Assault 4th Degree and Breach of Peace 2nd degree.

Mr. Bruno was scheduled a court appearance on March 14 in Stamford Superior Court. He was able to post a $1,000 bond and was released from custody.
