Greenwich Man Charged with Larceny for Stealing Political Signs

On September 11, Greenwich Police arrested a local man who was wanted by warrant and charged him with Larceny 6 for allegedly stealing political signs in the area of Glenville Road and Weaver Street.

Police say the warrant for the arrest of Gary Calabro, 81, stemmed from an investigation into the report of two stolen political signs on the morning of August 6.

Mr. Calabro was interviewed and related that he had removed the signs and disposed of them because they were placed “illegally” and he was cleaning up.

Calabro was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 25, 2024.

He was released on a promise to appear in court.

Back in September 2017, Mr. Calabro was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 3 after police witnessed him folding up advertising signs and throwing them in a dumpster on the property of Putnam Green.
