Greenwich Man Charged with DUI, Second Offense

On Dec 30, 2021 around 1:30am Greenwich Police on patrol on West Putnam Ave by the New York state line spotted a car heading east change lanes without signaling. They report that the vehicle then turned north onto Weaver Street and crossed into the wrong side of the road before jerking back to the correct lane of travel.

Police say when they stopped the car and spoke to the driver, Rama Balidermaj, 60, of Greenwich, he had the odor of alcohol and was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.

Balidermaj was charged with DUI second offense, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane and Failure to Obey Stop Sign.

He was able to post the required 10% of his $500 bond and was released.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 13, 2022.
