Greenwich Man Charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm

On May 26 Greenwich Police arrested a local man, Brad S. Zackson, 62, after he turned himself in at GPD headquarters on an outstanding warrant by Greenwich Police for Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

According to the arrest report the incident took place on May 13 on Taconic Road.

Police say Mr. Zackson was in possession of a firearm in his house despite not legally being allowed to own a firearm due to a felony conviction in New York many years ago.

According to Lt Martin O’Reilly, in Connecticut, as in many states, if a person has a felony conviction, they can never own a firearm.

Zackson’s bond was set at $50,000, which he was able to post.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 10, 2022.
