On Monday night Greenwich Police responded to a residence in Byram on a report of an assault.
While on scene police determined that the offender, later identified as Bruno Cordoba, 18, of Greenwich attempted to strangle the victim with both hands, temporarily causing her to lose the ability to breathe.
He was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault 3 and Strangulation.
His bond was set at $2,000, which he was unable to post.
He was assigned the next available court date, Nov 2, 201 in Stamford Superior Court.
