Greenwich Fire Dept Rescues Ducklings Trapped in a Catch Basin

On Saturday Greenwich Fire Dept Engine 2 responded to 31 River Road for a unique rescue — a group of ducklings had become trapped in a catch basin.

“Our firefighters quickly went to work and safely reunited the ducklings with their mother,” the Fire Dept said in a social media post.

The Fire Dept thanked Megan O’Brien for reporting the situation.

“Greenwich firefighters are proud to serve our community every day, not only during emergencies but also through public service calls like assisting residents and rescuing animals in need.”
