Greenwich Police Lt Slusarz announced that due to severe flooding, Greenwich Point has been closed until further notice.
He said high tide will be at 2:00pm, but that the storm is pushing water into low lying areas and flooding has all ready occurred.
Residents are asked to avoid low lying areas and stay indoors.
Greenwich emergency services are working to minimize the danger to the public. Please do not enter flooded areas, be watchful for falling branches, and avoid downed power lines.
In case of an emergency call 9-1-1
