GPD: Easton Man Charged with Burglary at Night, Forgery, Identity Theft for 2020 Incident

On May 7, Greenwich Police responded to the lobby of headquarters to arrest Matthew Scully, 19, of Easton, CT on an outstanding warrant.

Scully was charged with Forgery 3, Identity Theft 2, Larceny 2 and Burglary 1 At Night.

According to Lt Mark Zuccerella Scully, Scully is alleged to have been involved in a residential burglary on Sept 14, 2020 in which approximately $8,500 in cash along with several miscellaneous items were stolen. The incident took place on Vineyard Lane.

It was also determined that a stolen check was signed and cashed by him.

His bond was set at $50,000.

Following his arrest, Scully was released to the custody of West Haven Police Dept for an active arrest warrant in their jurisdiction.

He was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on May 28, 2021.
