GPD Charge Massachusetts Man with Larceny, Identity Theft

Greenwich Police arrested a Methuen, MA man on May 10 by warrant. Bryan Ramos, 21, was wanted for multiple charges stemming from an incident on Doubling Road.

Police said a resident put checks in their mailbox with the red flag up back in June 2021, and Ramos allegedly stole the checks.

According to Lt Martin O’Reilly, the victim discovered checks had been cashed when looking over bank statements and finding a discrepancy. A check that had been made out for $1500 was cashed in the amount of $8,900.

Ramos was charged with Larceny 3, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3, Illegal Possession of Personal ID Information Device, Identity Theft 2 and Conspiracy to Commit Identity Theft 2.

Ramos was able to post his $50,000 bond. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 25.

According to Lt O’Reilly, another person was previously arrested in the case.

Back in April Laisha Joaquin, 19, of Corona, NY was extradited from Rikers Island and brought to Greenwich where she was charged with Larceny and Identity Theft for the 2021 incident.
