GPD Catch Up With Driver of Stolen Maserati

On Wednesday Greenwich Police stopped a car being driven by Brandon Rivera, 24, of Lafayette Place in Greenwich, who police say had an active arrest warrant issued by Stamford Superior Court.

Rivera was arrested on scene and brought to headquarters. He was processed for Larceny 1 of a motor vehicle greater than $20,000 and Evading Responsibility.

According to Greenwich Police Captain Mark Zuccerella, Mr. Rivera’s charges stemmed from a call police received regarding a motor vehicle collision back on December 15, 2020, near Exit 2 on Ritch Ave.

“Upon our arrival, the operator of one of the involved vehicles, a Maserati, fled the scene,” Zuccerella said. “The Maserati was reported as stolen out of Nassau County, NY.”

Zuccerella said that Greenwich Police Detective Anthony Fiscella was assigned the case and after a lengthy investigation was able to identify Rivera’s as the alleged operator.

Rivera was unable to post his $200,000 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 26, 2021.
