A Westport woman was arrested on Jan 3 around 2:30am by Greenwich Police after multiple units responded to the area of Cognewaugh Rd and Sundance Drive on a report of a car that crashed into a utility pole with wires down, but no reported injuries.
Police say Candice Von Tobel, 29, who was the only one in the car, had red, gassy eyes and smelled of alcohol when she was interviewed. She was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was arrested and charged with Failure to Drive in Proper lane and DUI.
She was able to post her $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 1, 2021.
