DUI for Greenwich Driver Who Struck Utility Pole in Glenville

On Sunday Dec 8 around 12:50am Greenwich Police were detailed to the area of 38 Weaver Street on a report of a vehicle that had struck a utility pole.

Police say that upon arrival, the vehicle a 2002 Mercedes E320 was observed to be unoccupied.

Officers located the driver, Mariusz Mosiej, 38, of Oxer Place, walking along West Putnam Ave, and he admitted to being involved in the crash.

Mr. Mosiej’s vehicle was the sole car involved in the crash.

Police say Mosiej displayed signs of alcohol impairment.

After failing to perform field sobriety tests to standard, Mosiej was charged with DUI, Evading Responsibility and Failure to Drive in Proper Lane.

He was released after posting $250 cash bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 23, 2019.
