Oct 6, 2018 around 12:30am Greenwich Police parked by Mavis Discount Tire to monitor traffic on East Putnam Ave observed a Ford Windstar mini van going the wrong direction on East Putnam Ave.
According to Lt Slusarz, the officer witnessed the Windstar cross over double yellow and almost his a car coming the other way.He said the other car had to swerve to get out of the way.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Sheephill Rd at Apache Place.
Police say the driver, Maria Carmela Morales-Gramajo, 34, of Strawberry Hill Road in Norwalk, had the odor of alcoholic beverage and failed to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
She was charged with DUI, Driving with a Suspended License and Failure to Maintain Lane.
Her bond was set at $250 and she was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 22, 2018.
