On Friday night around 9:30pm Greenwich Police were dispatched to Taco Bell at 1371 East Putnam Ave on a report of an intoxicated driver.
An employee of the restaurant had prevented the driver from leaving the parking lot.
Upon arrival the driver, James Padula, 27, of Oval Ave in Riverside had glassy, red eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverages. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
He was charged with DUI. His bond was set at $250, which he was unable to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 9, 2019.
