DUI for Driver Asleep in Parked Car

On June 12 around 1:45am Greenwich Police on patrol in the area of Harold Ave between West Putnam Ave and Ann Street observed a vehicle parked on Harold Ave and the operator appeared to be asleep.

Police say their investigation revealed that the accused, Roberto Medrano, 52, of Port Chester had red eyes and smelled of alcohol, and had placed the keys in the ignition prior to falling asleep. Medrano was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was charged with DUI.

His bond was $200 and he has a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 9, 2020.
