Driver Who Failed to Signal Turn Had No License, Marijuana in Car

On Thursday, Sept 28, Greenwich Police conducted a motor vehicle stop of a car around 5:30pm after it failed to use a turn signal while changing lanes.

While speaking to the driver, Marvin Ray Thomas, 26, of 41 Leonard St in Port Chester, officers detected the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle. They conducted a probably cause search of the vehicle and found approximately one ounce of marijuana behind the front passenger seat.

Mr. Thomas was charged with not using his turn signal, driving without a license, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of marijuana.

His bond was set at $200 and he was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 6, 2017. He was able to post his bond and was released without incident.
