Driver Stopped in Middle of Greenwich Ave Was In Stolen Car

On Thursday April 11, just after midnight Greenwich Police patrolling the area of Greenwich Avenue observed a car stopped in the middle of the roadway.

Investigation revealed the vehicle was suspended for lack of insurance and was stolen out of Garden City, NY.

The driver, William Kenneth Wood, 65,of North Henry Street in Brooklyn was arrested and charged with Driving and Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Operating without Insurance and Larceny 3.

His bond was set at $1,500 which he was unable to post. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on April 25, 2019.
