Driver Faces Multiple Charges after Taking Illegal Right on Red

Around 6:00pm on March 30, Greenwich Police observed a car exit I95 at Exit 3 southbound off ramp and make a right turn on a red light in a clearly posted “No turn on red” intersection.

The driver was identified as Ronald Andrade, 34, of 516 Carroll Ave in Bridgeport.

A query of the vehicle registration revealed it was suspended due to insufficient insurance. Also, Andrade’s driver’s license was determined to be suspended due to a DWI arrest.

Andrade was charged with Driving with No Insurance, Driving with a Suspended License, Operating Under Suspension and Failure to Obey a Traffic Sign.

His bond was set at $260, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on April 13, 2018.
