On March 16 Greenwich officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed fail to obey the stop sign at the end of the off-ramp to I-95 southbound at exit 2 in the area of Mill Street and Henry Street in Byram.
The vehicle then followed the lead vehicle too closely and performed an unsafe pass/lane change of the lead vehicle.
A motor vehicle stop was initiated but the vehicle continued westbound on Mill Street, disregarding the signal of the officer.
Eventually the vehicle stopped, and the accused, Eudes Manolo Lucero-Agustin, 36, of Stamford, according to police was showing signs of alcohol impairment. he was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
Mr. Lucero-Agustin was charged with Traveling Unreasonably Fast, Disobeying Signal of Officer, illegal operation Motor Vehicle Under Influence of Alcohol/Drug, Unsafe Passing – Left side, Follow Too Closely, and Failure to Obey Stop Sign.
He was able to post the required 7% of his $300 bond and was released.
He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 28, 2025.
