Cos Cob Man Charged for Selling Xanax Pills Purchased Online

On Monday Greenwich Police arrested a Cos Cob man following an investigation into his allegedly selling Xanax pills in town.

Police said that investigation revealed that the suspect, Stephen Bridge, 32, of Decatur Street, was procuring large amounts of Xanax through the internet, and the pills were being delivered to Mr. Bridge through the US Postal Service.

With the assistance of the US Postal Inspector Narcotics & Violent Crime US section, the Greenwich Police Narcotics section identified and intercepted the suspected package addressed to Bridge.

Search and Seizure warrants were applied for the package granted.

Investigators seized and searched the package which yielded approximately 1,000 suspected Xanax/Alprazolam pills.

Bridge was arrested by warrant on Monday for Criminal Attempt at Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell. The court set bond at $100,000, and stipulated house arrest and GPS/IPS monitoring. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 26, 2021.

Mr. Bridge has a history with Greenwich Police. In 2017 he was charged by warrant for Larceny 6 and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 6 for stealing mail on Valley Road.
