Complaint of Suspicious Car on Private Property Leads to DUI Charge

On July 31 just after midnight Greenwich Police responded to a residence on Riversville Road after a homeowner related there was a suspicious vehicle parked on their property.

Police say the driver was later identified as Joseph Santore, 64, of Stamford.

While officers spoke with Mr. Santore, they detected the smell of alcoholic beverage. Santore was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.

He was charged with DUI second offense.

He was able to post the required 10% of his $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Aug 16, 2021.
