Join your neighbors and Greenwich Police officers for coffee and conversation on Sunday, October 18 at the Upper Crust Bagel Company 9:00am-11:00am. The morning is intended to be a chance for informal conversation — no agenda, no speeches.
This is a terrific opportunity to talk to police, and ask those questions you’re always wondered about, but never had the opportunity.
It’s a nice idea to bring your children because meeting police in an informal situation has a lasting impact. Having a familiar face on the force can make a difference. When the first encounter with police is being asked not to skateboard on the sidewalk, that’s not the lasting impression we want our children to have of local police.Who knows? Maybe you or your child will be inspired to become a police officer!
Just like we saw at this summer’s Wiffle Ball tournament, Greenwich police are our neighbors, team mates and friends.
