On Thursday morning, Facebook buzzed with comments about an incident involving the Scrambler ride at the St Roch’s feast on the property of Hamilton Avenue School Wednesday night, which was the first night of the four day event.
According to Greenwich Police Lt Patrick Smyth, one of the carnival workers attempted to adjust one of the rides but did not wait for it to completely stop first.
Lt Smyth said the man sustained a leg injury, initially reported as possibly broken, and was transported to the hospital for further care.
