Greenwich Police reported that on Feb 23 around1:30am they responded to a home on North Street on a report of a person who had unlawfully entered a guest house.
Police say the suspect, an 49 year old man of unknown address, was still there when they arrived.
The man, Ahmad Lee, 49, made entry through an unlocked door to the guest house and made his way to the second floor and confronted a guest who was sleeping.
“The guest was woken up by the noise and observed Lee stealing $967.00 out of his money clip,” police said in a release.
When told to give back the money, Mr. Lee did so and attempted to leave the property.
Police charged Lee with Burglary 1 and Larceny 5. His bond was set at $5,000, which he was unable to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 9, 2022.
