On June 1 at about 2:00am Greenwich Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle traveling on East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich with a headlight not illuminated.
While speaking with the driver, police detected the odor of unburnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located approximately an ounce and a half of marijuana and narcotics.
Police say the narcotics were not in a proper prescription bottle prescribed to the accused.
Michael Sean Tarala, 51, of Woods Grove Rd in Westport was charged with Failure to Keep Narcotics in Original Container, Possession of Controlled Substance, Drugs Near School (3 counts), Illegal Possession Marijuana (3 counts).
Mr. Tarala’s bond was set at $250, which he was able to post, and he has a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 17, 2019.
