Back Country Woman Charged with Risk of Injury to a Child, Violation of Protective Order

On Friday morning around 8:15am, a Greenwich woman turned herself in on an active warrant for her arrest for Risk of Injury to a Child, Disorderly Conduct and Violation of  Protective Order.

The charges stem back to an incident on Jan 15, 2019 on Burying Hill Rd in back country.

Carmen E Santos, 44, of 34 Burying Hill Road, was released on $10,000 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Tuesday, Feb 19, 2019.

Back on September 21, 2018, Greenwich Police responded to Burying Hill Rd on a report of a verbal argument. On scene investigation revealed that the victim claimed the offender began the argument and that it had escalated when Santos slammed some computer equipment. Ms Santos, who at the time resided in Bedford, NY, was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

The Disorderly Conduct charge, a Class C Misdemeanor, is pending disposition in Stamford Superior Court, and has been on the docket four times. Santos was assigned to the Family Violence Program and was next due to appear in court on June 11, 2019.
