Back Country Teen Faces Drug, Burglary and Larceny Charges

On Saturday at about 5:00pm, Greenwich Police were dispatched to 339 Greenwich Avenue on the report of a burglary at Versailles Restaurant on Greenwich Ave.

Restaurant management related that a former employee, Jeremy Rostislave O’Connell, 19, of 142 Lower Cross Rd, was waiting in their office.

Upon arrival Police restaurant management related that they had video of O’Connell illegally entering the restaurant the previous night (July 31), and that he  is not allowed in the restaurant and was never given a key.

According to police the video of O’Connell clearly showed him entering and participating in the burglary in which he stole fifty dollars from the cash register.

Mr. O’Connell was placed under arrest and charged with Larceny in the 6th degree, Burglary in the 3rd degree, Possession of Marijuana under 40z, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond  was set at $1,000 dollars, which he could not post.

Mr. O’Connell was issued a court date of August 10 at the Stamford Superior Court House.
