Another Teen Snagged in Pomerance after Dark Faces Charges

On the evening of July 18, Greenwich Police were conducting directed patrol around 9:30pm in Pomerance at 115 Orchard Street in Cos Cob, which closes at sunset, when they observed a vehicle enter the parking lot and park.

Upon speaking with the driver, Emma Josephine Duty, 19, of 170 Stanwich Rd, officers detected the odor associated with alcoholic beverage. The driver submitted to field sobriety tests which she did not complete to standard.

After Ms. Duty was placed under arrest, police found a wine bottle and coffee mug containing alcohol, as well as a glass smoking pipe.

She was charged with DUI by a Person Under 21, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Alcohol by a Minor.

HerĀ  bond was set at $250, which she was able to post. She was assigned a court date on August 1, 2017 in Stamford Superior Court.
