Additional Suspects Charged for Chickahominy Melee Recorded on Cell Phone Videos

Three Greenwich men were arrested and face charges for their involvement in a melee that involved several individuals on Nov. 25 at about 7:30pm.

Andrew Calderon, 19, of 19-12 Armstrong Court; Nicholas Estiven Ortiz, 18, of 59 Wilbur Peck Court; and Aldair Garcia, 18, of 58 Weaver Street were all arrested since Dec. 18, when a Juvenile, age 17, was arrested, via warrant, after her turned himself in.

The fight, which took place in the area of Holly Hill Land/St Roch Ave/Muskrat Pond Rd in Chickahominy, culminated with one subject being knocked unconscious from a kick to the head by a Juvenile.

Several individuals, including Calderon, Ortiz and Garcia, then kicked, spat on, and removed the shoes and socks from the unconscious victim. The entire melee was captured on two separate cell phone videos which were later acquired by Greenwich Police.

All of the participants in the incident were positively identified because of past dealings with the Police Department.

Mr. Ortiz was arrested and charged with Breach of Peace 2nd degree and Assault 2nd degree. His bond was set at $20,000 and he  has a court date on Jan 4, 2016 in Stamford Superior Court.

Mr. Calderon was placed under arrest and charged with Breach of Peace 2nd degree and Assault 3rd degree and held on a $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on January 6.

Mr. Garcia was charged with Breach of Peace 2nd degree, and Assault 3rd degree and was held on $20,000 bond. He also has a court date at Stamford Superior Court on Jan. 4.
