Josephine Bria (nee Borkowski) of Greenwich died June 13, 2023 at age 92. Josephine was born in Waterbury, Ct. on August 27, 1930.
She worked in the cafeteria of several Greenwich Public Schools. She had many hobbies. She loved gardening, painting, and restoring furniture. She loved to crochet and embroider and most of all she was known for her cooking and baking. She was the beloved wife of the late Rocco J. Bria.
She is survived by her children Rocco Bria Jr. (wife Mary Ann) Bobby Bria (wife Kristen), Diane Newton (husband Alan L.) and daughter- in-law Kim. Predeceased by her son Michael and her siblings Walter Borkowski and Mary Zawistowski. Josephine has eight grand and six great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 19 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at the Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home 134 Hamilton Ave, Greenwich, Ct. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Roch’s on Tuesday, June 20 at 10:00am followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
