Margaret “Meg” Ambrogio, 65

Margaret “Meg” Ambrogio, died suddenly at the age of 65 on November 28, 2024, at Greenwich Hospital.

She was born in Greenwich, CT on June 15, 1959.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Roina and Ann Cunningham.

Meg is survived by her husband, Louis Ambrogio, beloved children, Annie, Erica, and L.J, cherished brothers Michael and Douglas Roina, adored sister-in-law Joan Roina, and nephew Martin Wilkins. She is also survived by her son-in-law Zack Speranza and soon-to-be daughter in-law Samantha Rentz. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Lois Fernandes, and husband Joe, her mother-in-law, Marie Ambrogio, son-in-law Zack Speranza and soon-to-be daughter in-law Samantha Rentz.

Meg spent her entire life living in Greenwich, CT, except for a brief 3-month residency in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1978. She was a 1977 graduate of Saint Mary’s High School and worked as an administrative assistant, most recently with Tompkins Financial Advisors.

Meg would do anything for anyone or any animal. She was always known to have too many pets, like her dog, cat, bird, fish and frog and loved every second of caring for them. She was a devoted friend, always hoping to make time for a glass of wine at the beach or a chatty walk with those she loved. Meg was her best self when she was near a dance floor listening to any and all music. She never hesitated to dance like no one was watching, even though they always were. She was a light in every room she stepped into, and would bring joy and love to all who knew her.

Meg truly had a green thumb and loved spending time mixing and matching her favorite flowers; it was really her art. She was the best mother, sister, friend, and person and the world was a kinder, gentler place because she was in it.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday December 7 at Sacred Heart Church in Greenwich.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Meg’s honor to help those in need.
