Registrars of Voters: Key Information for Possible September Primaries

From the Registrars of Voters office at Greenwich Town Hall:

Although a rare occurrence in the Town of Greenwich, municipal primaries, if held, for one or both of the major parties would be held on September 12, 2023.

Only voters registered with a party can vote in that party’s primary. To vote in the Democratic primary, you must be registered as a Democrat. Likewise, to vote in the Republican primary, you must be registered as a Republican.

To change your party affiliation, your address, or to register to vote, click on the “How to Register to Vote” link at https://www.greenwichct.gov/vote.

June 12, 2023 is the deadline for an elector to change from one party to another and be eligible to vote in their new party’s Primary.

If you are registered as an unaffiliated voter (not registered with any party) the deadline to affiliate with a Party by mail is September 7, 2023. Mail in applications must be received by this date.

The in-person deadline is September 11, 2023, by 12:00 noon.

Online voter registration is available at https://voterregistration.ct.gov/OLVR/welcome.do.

For new voters registering by mail the postmark must be on or before September 7.
