Greenwich Communities (formerly the Housing Authority of the Town of Greenwich) announced plans to celebrate the latest group of families to move into newly modernized residences at Armstrong Court.
A “Welcome Home” Key Presentation ceremony is set for Saturday, February 21, at 10:00am in the Winston A. Robinson Community Room at Armstrong Court.
According to a release from Greenwich Communities, the event will be attended by First Selectman Camillo and invitations have been extended to Town and State government officials.
The ceremony will mark a major milestone for Armstrong Court, which has undergone extensive renovations to provide energy-efficient, dignified and modern living spaces.
“We are thrilled to have First Selectman Camillo, and our state representatives join us for this special occasion,” said Anthony Johnson, CEO of Greenwich Communities said in the release. “Their support is a testament to the fact that when we provide quality housing, we are strengthening the entire town. It is a proud day for our residents and our leadership team.”
To celebrate the occasion, a light breakfast and drinks will be served. The public is encouraged to attend, meet their neighbors, and hear from local leaders about the future of housing in Greenwich.
“Handing over keys to a new home is a life-changing moment for our residents,” said Sam Romeo, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. “Having our town’s leadership there to witness it shows these families that they are a valued and vital part of the fabric of Greenwich.”
