The Two Door

People come from all over town to eat and drink at The Two Door restaurant at 176 Hamilton Ave in Chickahominy. The restaurant is a longtime destination, and, on a recent fish and chips night there wasn’t an empty seat in the restaurant.

The Two Door has two main specials, Thursday night is chicken Parmesan and Friday night is fish and chips. Both nights require reservations at least a few days in advance to secure a table.

On the nights with specials, people order off the specials menu instead of the actual menu.

The bar is open every day though lunch is only served Monday through Friday and dinner Tuesday through Friday.

The Two Door is a family run restaurant, it has been in the Roina family since 1967.

Robert (Rob) the current owner can be seen serving and talking with customers. He was running around the whole night getting things for his customers before they had to ask.

When the customers where asked why they keep coming back, the reply is always, “The food is great.”

On Friday nights, people come from all over Greenwich to get a large portion of delicious fish.

People would go around the restaurant making conversations with others. The customers create a welcoming family like environment. Most of the customers come and never want to leave. causing regular customers that have been eating there for years.

If you aren’t in the mood to have fried food you can always try Two Door’s salad with grilled shrimp.

Behind the restaurant there is off street parking and a little outdoor seating area.
