I agree with the letter from Michael Kennedy (Letter: The cameras aren’t the problem. The speeding is. March 20, 2026) that the problem is the speeders, not the cameras.
As a crossing guard for Greenwich working all over town I see drivers everyday going way to fast by school crosswalks, failing to stop at crosswalks the blinking yellow lights and driving past me even when I’m in the crosswalk holding up a stop sign.
Any parent spending a day at any of crosswalks by the schools would clearly see had bad it is. This is clearly a safety issue not a money grab from the town.
