Elizabeth Krumeich on Jennifer Dayton: Dedicated, Hard-Working, Strategic Planner

Letter to the editor from Elizabeth K. Krumeich, Sept. 28, 2015

To the Editor:

I am writing to endorse Jennifer Dayton for re-election to the Board of Education. As an incumbent, Jennifer was twice elected Vice Chairman. During her first term, Jennifer served on the Strategic Plan Leadership and Negotiations Committees and has represented the BOE on the Achievement Gap and Safe Schools work groups of the Superintendent of Schools. Jennifer’s website, www.jenniferdayton.org, spells out Jennifer’s goals for her participation on the Board. Jennifer has worked for years supporting efforts to build a flagship elementary school in Byram and has strongly advocated for capital investment in all 15 buildings.

Jennifer dedicates her time to not only learn about the issues facing the Greenwich Public Schools, but also to use her skills as a strategic planner to rethink solutions to the problems facing the School System. Jennifer uses her keen mind and intellect to develop strategies that will benefit the students and the School System’s mission to help students reach their highest potential.

Jennifer understands that students graduating from Greenwich High School must be prepared to transition into college or a technical school that will prepare them for the challenges of today’s workforce and will advance early college and apprenticeship opportunities for students to follow their passions and pursue a fulfilling career. Given Jennifer’s strength of character and perseverance as a dedicated, hard-working member of the Board of Education, I encourage you to join me and vote for Jennifer Dayton on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth K. Krumeich
