I am writing to urge you to support Joe Kelly in the race for Connecticut State Senate in the 36th District. Our state faces multiple challenges that demand real solutions, and Joe is the leader we need to address them. Whether it is local control over planning and zoning, acting with fiscal discipline or addressing our crippling electric rates, Hartford needs Joe’s common sense approach to building consensus.
I believe the energy issue is a good example to highlight. Years of Democrat control of the State Legislature has resulted in Connecticut families being crushed by some of the highest electricity costs in the nation. Month after month, residents open their utility bills only to find continued increases that strain household budgets and threaten our state’s business competitiveness. This is not acceptable, and it demands bold action from someone who understands both the problem and how to fix it.
Joe Kelly has a proven track record as a pragmatic problem-solver who listens to constituents and delivers results. Unlike career politicians who have presided over increasing utility costs while doing little to remedy the situation, Joe brings a fresh perspective and actual industry experience to hold utilities accountable and find real solutions to bring relief to our communities.
As Democrat policies continue to fail our state, Joe is proposing substantive reform. He understands that we need to challenge the regulatory frameworks that permit our utilities to pass costs to consumers without meaningful oversight. Joe recognizes that energy policy reform, including diversifying our energy sources, streamlining regulations, and demanding accountability, must be central to any legislative agenda.
Connecticut’s residents deserve a state senator who will prioritize their wallets and their quality of life. We cannot afford another term of incremental politics and empty promises. We need someone willing to take on entrenched interests and fight for policies which benefit all residents of the state.
Joe Kelly has earned the support of people across the political spectrum who believe in principled leadership. He will bring energy, integrity, and determination to Hartford.
