“Summer Sings!” is Back at First Congregational Church of Greenwich

Starting Wednesday, June 18, come as you are from 7:30-9:30 pm on the Wednesday evenings listed below and, within these 2 hours we will have shared in an energized rehearsal and an ‘instant performance’ of great choral music. Music will be provided. Hospitality, refreshments, and fun are all included! No sign-up necessary. Just come ready to sing! (Suggested minimum donation of $5 per person.)

All ‘performances’ are held in the air conditioned Meetinghouse of The First Congregational Church at 108 Sound Beach Avenue, across from Binney Park in Old Greenwich. Non-singers are also welcome to enjoy the evening!

Dr. Craig Scott Symons, Director of Music/Organist at First Church, will lead each Summer Sing and singers will be accompanied by Alistair Reid, Director of Music at St. Joseph Church in Manhattan and former Assistant Musician at Christ Church, Greenwich.

  • Wednesday, June 18:  MozartSolemn Vespers (soloists: Lynette Pfund, soprano; Sarah Bleasdale, mezzo soprano; Christopher Pfund, tenor; Thomas Woodman, bass)
  • Wednesday, July 30:  RutterRequiem (chamber version with instruments) (soloist:  Hanna Golodinskii, soprano)
  • Wednesday, August 27:  Handel  Zadok the Priest; Haydn Te Deum in C
