RESCHEDULED: Old Greenwich Association 2026 Annual Meeting: Special Program Features Local Historian & Old Greenwich Award Presentation

Update: Due to the anticipation of a large snow event, the Civic Center will be closed on Sunday and Monday. Therefore the Old Greenwich Association annual meeting is rescheduled from Monday, January 26 to Tuesday, February 3 at 6:30pm.

The annual meeting will take place at the Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center located at 90 Harding Road in Old Greenwich, featuring a special two-part program designed to celebrate the community’s past while addressing its future.

The evening begins at 5:30pm with a special presentation by local historian Pat Larrabee, who will share insights into the rich history of Old Greenwich. Whether longtime residents or newcomers to the neighborhood, attendees will discover stories and details about the community they call home.

At 6:30pm, the meeting transitions to its annual business program, highlighted by the presentation of this year’s Old Greenwich Award to a deserving member of the community [nominate someone here]. Following the award ceremony, the OGA will provide important community updates on topics that matter most to Old Greenwich residents. Click here to watch the meeting live on YouTube.

Larrabee earned a B.A. from Smith College where she was Elected to Sigma Xi, the National Scientific Research Honorary Society, and a Masters from Johns Hopkins University. She’s married to RMA Member, Tad Larrabee. In 1975 they settled in Old Greenwich and Pat discovered that she’s an 8th great-granddaughter of
Elizabeth and Robert Feake, living on the land that her ancestors bought from the native people in 1640!

Larrabee’s career was as a computer programmer/systems analyst and she has been a webmaster for 25 websites, including the early RMA website in 2013. Pat served as president of Connecticut Ancestry and was editor of their quarterly journal. Genealogy remains a passion of hers, with over 5,000 names in her database.

In 2013 she became Historian of The First Congregational Church of Greenwich which led to learning more about Greenwich’s early history, largely focusing on Old Greenwich. She put much of the church’s history on fccog.org.

There are even free self-guided audio tours that she created of the church’s two
cemeteries plus the stained-glass windows.

She has been a book editor and author, heading a committee to write First Church’;s 1965-2015 history update to The First Three Hundred Years (1665-1965) book. The new book is called Honor the Past, which is a free pdf download on the church website.
