LWV Greenwich to Host UConn Associate Professor Tyler Page: “Building a Healthier Politics – Insights from Red & Blue America”

On Tuesday evening, March 24, LWV Greenwich will host a presentation by Tyler Page, Associate Professor at UConn Stamford.

Our political culture feels more fractured than ever. Conversations across party lines can feel impossible — even with friends and family. But new research suggests the divide may be more misunderstanding than irreconcilable difference.

In this engaging public lecture, Tyler Page — tenured Associate Professor at the University of Connecticut — shares what he’s learned from years of studying how values and perceptions shape the way we connect across difference. Having lived in seven U.S. states from coast to coast, Tyler brings both scholarly rigor and genuine human experience to one of the most pressing questions of our time: how do we rebuild trust and find productive common ground in a divided democracy?

You’ll leave with:

– A clearer understanding of what’s really driving political polarization
– Surprising insights into shared values across the political divide
– Practical tools for more constructive dialogue in your own community

This event is free and open to the public. All perspectives are welcome.

Tyler Page is a businessman-turned-academic who has lived in seven U.S. states and one Canadian province, giving him firsthand experience with every major region of North America. A veteran of Utah’s “Silicon Slopes,” he was the first marketer at survey giant Qualtrics and later served as Vice President at a startup research software firm before returning to graduate school to pursue an academic career. He is now a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Connecticut, where he conducts award-winning research using a range of methodological approaches.

Tyler’s scholarship centers on public relations, community building, and understanding how differences in values and perceptions shape human connection. His current projects focus on strengthening and healing America’s political culture. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his three young sons and advocating for the epilepsy and autism communities.
