Junior League of Greenwich Touch a Truck Returns to Town Hall on May 21, 2023

The Junior League of Greenwich is excited to announce that Touch A Truck is back on Sunday, May 21, 2023. This year’s event will be taking place at Greenwich Town Hall (101 Field Point Road) from 10:30pm to 2:00pm, rain or shine, with VIP early access available starting at 10:00am.

The event offers a reduced sensory experience for families and children who would benefit from a reduced sensory experience from 9:30 to 10:30am.

Families will have the opportunity to view and explore all of the trucks and vehicles in a smaller group setting, while vehicles refrain from the use of lights, horns, and other loud sounds. A variety of family entertainment and food trucks will also be available for families during this time. When purchasing Touch A Truck tickets, you can select a reduced sensory experience ticket.

During this fun-filled day, children’s dreams of sitting behind the wheel of a fire truck, honking the horn of a dump truck, or riding a roaming railroad is brought to life. Girls and boys of all ages will have a blast!

This year the Junior League welcomes back the fan-favorite powerful trucks from Greenwich’s Department of Public Works as well as fire trucks – including antique fire trucks – police cars and motorcycles, and ambulances. In addition, there will be construction equipment, a wide array of kids’ activities, and a variety of food trucks with delicious treats.

“We’re thrilled to be able to continue this fun tradition for our community,” said JLG president Jen Behette. “This year we will once again offer a reduced sensory hour, and opportunities to sponsor local children and families to attend the event to ensure this event is as inclusive as possible.”

Touch A Truck is a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Greenwich and draws more than 3,000 attendees each year.

General Individual Admission to Touch A Truck is $15 in advance, and VIP Family tickets are $150. Children under 2 are admitted free of charge. Proceeds from the event will benefit the community projects of the Junior League of Greenwich including PositivelyMe! and Project Impact.

Ticket prices will be higher at the door so be sure to purchase online today. Advance tickets can be found on the Junior League of Greenwich website at www.jlgreenwich.org/touch-a-truck
