International Coastal Cleanup Rescheduled for Saturday, October 21

The rescheduled International Coastal Cleanup will take place on Saturday, October 21, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Greenwich Point Park.

This global initiative aims to bring the community together for a day of environmental stewardship to protect and preserve our oceans and waterways. All non-biodegradable trash removed from our shoreline will be tallied and reported to Save the Sound. Save the Sound will submit the data to the Ocean Conservancy, which collaborates with organizations worldwide to analyze pollution in the Earth’s waters.

Pre-registration on Greenwich Green & Clean’s website is recommended, but unregistered walk-ins will be welcome.

Visit www.greenwichgreenandclean.org/international-coastal-cleanup-day to
register.

Upon your arrival, please check in at the tables at the parking lot across from the first concession stand.

Beach passes will not be required for participation in this event.

Gloves and buckets will be available on site, however participants are encouraged to bring their own if possible.

Organizers are grateful for the support and collaboration of the community partners that share a vision for a cleaner and greener Greenwich.
