2024 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Route, Parking Restrictions, Road Closures

The parade will begin at 2:00 pm from the Town Hall’s southern parking lot and proceed north to West Putnam Ave (US Route 1).

The parade will proceed east to Greenwich Ave and continue down Greenwich Avenue to Steamboat Road, where it will disband.

Greenwich Police announced that parking restrictions will be in effect starting at 10:00 am Sunday morning.  Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced, and illegally parked vehicles will be towed. 

  • There will be “NO PARKING” on the east side of Greenwich Avenue from West Putnam Avenue to Steamboat Road.
  • In addition, there will be “NO PARKING” on the west side of Greenwich Avenue from Bruce Place (Greenwich Commons Park) to Steamboat Road.
  • Dayton Avenue will be closed at noon from Field Point Road to the entrance of the Supermarket to facilitate the Parade trucks, floats, and other parade elements.

Road closures will occur throughout the Downtown area at approximately 1:30 pm in preparation for the parade elements.

  • Detour signs and Police officers will be deployed to facilitate traffic detours.
  • West Putnam Av (Route 1) will be closed for the parade from Deerfield Drive to Lafayette Place from 1:45 pm until approximately 3:00 pm.

Roads will be reopened as the parade passes, and it has been determined that it is safe to open the roadway.
