Greenwich Campership Program Needs Donations to Move Children off Wait List

The Greenwich Campership Program is well under way and the first session of camps are up and running.

The Campership program awards scholarships to children, ages 5-14, from low income Greenwich families. This is an opportunity for children to have a memorable and fun-filled experience at local summer day camps and sleep-away camps in Connecticut.

Thanks to generous donations, there are 116 children registered and attending camp this summer and there are 34 children that are on the waiting list that are currently not funded.

This program is sponsored by The Greenwich Department of Human Services and the Greenwich Salvation Army also provides a generous allocation. Camp fees are paid by community donations.

The Dept of Human Services is extremely grateful for the donations received to date and additional contributions will help provide a scholarship to the children who are waiting to be offered a
2022 camp session.

Any donation amount is greatly appreciated. If interested in sponsoring a child, camp scholarship amounts are as follows:
• Sponsor a camper for two weeks: $400
• Sponsor a camper for three weeks: $525

Here are the ways you can make a tax-deductible donation:
• Donate online at: https://www.greenwichdhsfund.org/
• Send a check made payable to The Greenwich Department of Human Services Fund, Inc. and sent to the Dept. of Human Services, Town Hall, 101 Field Point Road, Greenwich, CT 06830.
