Eversource to Use Helicopter to Survey Structures, Lines and Equipment

eversourceAs part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the power grid and increase reliability, Eversource will be surveying its transmission lines with high-resolution cameras. Photographs collected during these flights will help build a more detailed record of structures, lines and other electrical equipment which will increase the efficiency of maintaining the electric system in Connecticut.

During the week of January 25, all flights are weather permitting, and most will take place between the hours of 7:00am and dusk. The helicopter assigned to this project is black with a registration number N175JL.

The Eversource helicopter will collect photographs in Darien, Greenwich, Norwalk, Stamford and Westport.
