Christ Church announced that their Courage & Faith speaker series will return after more than a year and a half of pandemic-enforced silence.
The program is starting up again with an extraordinary event featuring world-renowned Sister Joan Chittister.
A Benedictine Sister of Erie, PA, Sister Joan Chittister is an award-winning author of 60 books. She has appeared with the Dalai Lama, on Meet The Press, and on Super Soul Sunday with Oprah Winfrey.
She has received numerous awards for her work for justice, peace, and equality, especially for women, in church and in society.
The Time is Now: A Call For Uncommon Courage was published by Penguin Random House in 2018 and this fall her latest book, The Monastic Heart: 50 Simple Practices For A Contemplative And Fulfilling Life is available.
The event is set for Saturday, November 20 at 7:00pm.
The event will take place at Christ Church Greenwich in the Main Sanctuary, 254 E. Putnam Ave in Greenwich.
A reception and book signing will follow in the Christ Church Greenwich Parish Hall.
Masks are required. Attendance is limited to 300 people.
