Chabad Greenwich Presents Moran Stela Yanai, Who Endured 54 Days Held Hostage

The Chabad Center for Jewish Life is honored to host a compelling and‬ deeply moving event featuring Moran Stela Yanai, a survivor who endured 54 harrowing days as a‬ ‭ captive of Hamas.

This extraordinary event will take place on Saturday, June 1, at 12:00 pm at the Igor‬ Tulchinsky Chabad Center for Jewish Life, located at 38 Field Point Road.

Moran Stela Yanai, a costume jewelry designer, was among the many attendees at the Supernova‬ Musical Festival on October 7 when terrorists launched a brutal attack. In a desperate bid for safety,‬ she sought refuge in a ditch, only to be captured and taken into Gaza.

For 54 grueling days, Moran‬ faced unimaginable challenges, holding onto hope and faith until her release on November 29. Her‬ story of resilience and courage is a testament to the human spirit’s capacity to endure even the most‬ extreme adversities.‬

This event provides an opportunity to hear firsthand from Moran about her experiences and the‬‭ endurance, hope, and faith that sustained her during her captivity. This is also a time for the local‬ ‭ Greenwich community – Jewish and non-Jewish – to express solidarity with the people of Israel and‬ ‭ with Jews everywhere, who are enduring an unprecedented global wave of vitriolic Jew hatred.‬
