Camillo Proclaims Sunday “Father Carl D. McIntosh Day” after St Roch Church’s Former Pastor

The First Selectman Fred Camillo issued a proclamation that Sunday, Feb 23 was Father Carl D. McIntosh Day:

WHEREAS, Father Carl  D. McIntosh has faithfully served as the beloved pastor of St. Roch Church of Chickahominy, dedicating his life to strengthening the faith, unity, and well-being of the parish and the greater Greenwich community; and

WHEREASThrough his unwavering commitment to service, Father McIntosh has brought together individuals from all walks of life, fostering a spirit of fellowship, compassion and inclusivity that has enriched the entire Town of Greenwich; and

WHEREASBeyond his pastoral duties, Father McIntosh has extended his ministry to serve the broader Greenwich community as Chaplain of the Glenville Fire Department, offering spiritual support and guidance to first responders who selflessly protect our town; and

WHEREASAs Fleet Chaplain of the Indian Harbor Yacht Club, Father McIntosh has provided counsel and camaraderie to mariners and club members, upholding a tradition of faith and service upon the waters of Long Island Sound; and

WHEREASFather McIntosh’s retirement marks the conclusion of a remarkable chapter of service, but his profound impact on Greenwich—its residents, institutions, and faith communities—will be felt for generations to come.

NOW, THEREFORE, l, Fred Camillo, FIRST SELECTMAN OF THE TOWN OF GREENWICH, do hereby proclaim February 23, 2025 as Father Carl D. McIntosh Day in the Town of Greenwich and urge all residents to join me in celebrating and in recognizing Father McIntosh’s many contributions to our Town and in wishing him well in his retirement.
