Two Greenwich Authors. Two Gripping New Thrillers. One Unforgettable Evening.

Dogwood Books & Gifts is hosting a free salon-style conversation with two of Greenwich’s own masters of suspense, Deborah Goodrich Royce and Wendy Walker, as they discuss their brand-new psychological thrillers and the craft behind writing them.

The evening takes place Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Dogwood Books & Gifts inside Christ Church Greenwich. The event is free and open to the public, with books available for purchase and a reception, including the opportunity to meet and have books signed by both authors.

Deborah Goodrich Royce — Best Boy

In her newest novel, a woman with a seemingly perfect life receives a threatening letter from a man she doesn’t remember — unraveling a buried teenage identity and a past she thought was long behind her. Royce is the acclaimed author of Reef Road, Ruby Falls, and Finding Mrs. Ford, with honors from Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, and Good Morning America. A Greenwich resident with a fascinating career spanning acting, historic hotel restoration, and cultural stewardship, she also hosts the celebrated Ocean House Author Series in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.

Wendy Walker — Blade

Walker’s newest novel draws on her own teenage years as a competitive figure skater, weaving personal experience into the psychological suspense she is known for. A USA Today bestselling author and former attorney and investment banker, Walker is the author of All Is Not Forgotten, Emma in the Night, The Night Before, Don’t Look for Me, What Remains, and multiple Audible Originals including American Girl, Mad Love, and The Room Next Door.

Together, Royce and Walker will discuss their new books, their creative process, and what it takes to build a career as a successful author of multiple acclaimed novels.

Don’t miss this lively evening with two of Greenwich’s most celebrated literary voices.
