Audition for the 2024 St. Catherine’s Players’ production of Beauty & the Beast.
Auditions will be held on Sunday, November 12 from 3:00-5:00pm and Monday, November 13 from 7:00-9:30pm at the Lucey Parish Hall in the basement of St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave in Riverside.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Roles are available for all ages 9 and above.
Youth should arrive at 3:00pm on Sunday, November 12 or 7:00pm on Monday, November 13. Adults should arrive at 4:00pm on Sunday or 8:00pm on Monday.
Rehearsals will run from December 2023 – March 2024 with production dates of March 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10, 2024.
Beauty and the Beast is St. Catherine’s Players 43rd production. Lauren Nicole Sherwood will direct and provide musical staging, Zachary Kampler will provide music direction and conduct the orchestra, and Matthew Blank will choreograph.
